Hi, I'm Alicia!

A Little About Me

I’m Alicia, the founder of Lean In Life Coaching & Consulting. My background includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a law degree from Michigan State University, along with over 20 years of experience working in child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental health systems.

Throughout my career as an attorney, most recently as Assistant Attorney General, I worked closely with individuals, families, and youth navigating high-stress situations and major life transitions. I presented to, and trained, large groups of professionals for the MI Department of Attorney General, Prosecutors Association of Michigan and Michigan State University College of Law.

Life coaching allows me to bring that experience into a forward-focused space where clarity, direction, and action matter most.

Who I Love to Help

I work with individuals who are ready for clarity, direction, and meaningful progress.

A Direct and Ethical Approach

Coaching is a partnership built on trust, listening, and honest conversation. My approach is direct, balanced, and focused on progress. I won’t diagnose or tell you who to be. I’ll help you identify what’s holding you back and support you as you move forward.

Life Coaching and Consulting: What to Expect

Grounded in Experience

My work is informed by decades of experience in psychology, law, and public service. Everything I bring into coaching is rooted in real-world understanding.

Coaching, Not Therapy

Life coaching focuses on the present and future. There’s no diagnosis or medication involved. If therapy is needed, I’ll say so and help point you in the right direction.

Consulting and Speaking

In addition to coaching, I offer consulting, training, and speaking services for schools, organizations, and professional groups.
